“For us, every game begins with a strong idea—whether it’s a theme, a character, or a mechanic we want to develop. Then, our designers and mathematicians work closely together so that art, audio, and gameplay develop simultaneously into a seamless whole. Our approach rests on three pillars: understanding the audience and tailoring the games to their desires, learning from the market and inspiring mechanics, and adding the unmistakable Peter & Sons touch of creativity and innovation. Our goal always remains the same: to create games that stand out visually and pull players into an engaging experience with enough depth and immersion in the gameplay.”
How does Peter & Sons gather player feedback, and how do you process that input to ensure the games truly meet audience expectations?
“Player feedback is crucial to us. We track the performance of our games across various markets, read player reviews, watch streams, and work closely with operators and partners to understand what resonates with different audiences. Internally, we run playtests to experience how mechanics work in practice. If something doesn’t feel as intended, we refine it. We’ve learned that small adjustments—whether it’s pacing, volatility, or features—can make a big difference in the fun factor. It’s about finding the right balance between innovation and accessibility so that our games remain fun, refreshing, and worthwhile.”
With games like Barbarossa and Ghostfather, Peter & Sons has already made a great impression. What makes these games so successful, and what can we expect from upcoming releases?
“Both Barbarossa and Ghostfather showcase what we excel at: unique design, immersive storylines, and innovative mechanics. Players recognize our style immediately but also know that each game brings something new and surprising. The success lies in that balance between familiarity and innovation. Looking ahead, we’ll continue on this path. Players can expect bold themes, new features, and even more ambitious mathematical models. Our goal is for each release to feel like a special event.”
Which game in your portfolio do you personally consider your favorite, and what factors make it so successful?
“That’s a tough choice, but Barbarossa Revenge often comes out on top as our favorite. It perfectly embodies who we are: unique characters, rich visuals, impressive sound, and mechanics that are easy to pick up yet offer enough depth to keep players coming back. The success lies in the harmony of all elements: the look, the math behind it, the audio, and the overall experience. When everything fits perfectly together, the game feels truly timeless.”
Peter & Sons recently partnered with SoftSwiss. How does this collaboration fit into your strategy, and how will it help you grow into new markets?
“Our partnership with SoftSwiss is an important milestone. Their distribution network is one of the strongest in the industry, with over 35,000 games and more than 300 game providers in total.
