Talking markets, stories, and dragon cannons: A Conversation with Lauryn Duncan
Lauryn Duncan, Head of Sales at Peter & Sons, recently sat down with GBC Time to talk about growth, markets, and what it means to scale a studio without losing the soul that started it.
When Peter & Sons began back in 2019, it was exactly that: a handful of people with a shared belief that casino games could feel different. In a few short years, that spark has grown into a full flame. Today, our games are recognized across regulated markets for their artistry, storytelling, and unmistakable identity. Each title still carries that handcrafted energy, the feeling of a game built by humans who care.
Entering new regulated markets has been a journey of patience, persistence, and pride. Lauryn highlighted New Jersey as one of the most demanding territories so far, long timelines, precise compliance layers, and even the requirement to host local servers. But the challenge has been worth it. Expanding across the U.S. and Brazil is opening a new chapter for us, and every step forward is fueled by strong partnerships and a clear vision.
Europe remains a core stage for us, especially the UK, Nordics, Italy, Spain, and soon, Portugal! And for Lauryn personally, future plans for South Africa carry a special meaning: bringing the Peter & Sons spirit home.
Releasing a new game every month only works because the craft is shared. Founders, artists, developers, and designers remain close to the work. Ideas move fast, but intention stays slow, because the story needs to breathe, the characters need to matter. That’s how our games keep their voices.
And at the heart of that voice is the Barbarossa saga. High volatility, cinematic sound, unpredictable tension, a fan favorite turned signature trilogy. With Barbarossa: Dragon Empire arriving this December, the story is about to reach its loudest chapter yet!
Lauryn put it best: “Success is where players and partners meet. Games people love, and operators are proud to feature.”
And that’s our mission: to keep the art in the first place, the gameplay surprising, and the world of Peter & Sons unmistakably ours.
